Meet the Chiropractor
Jeffrey Glover is a Leesburg chiropractor who serves Leesburg and the surrounding communities in FL .
Dr. Jeffrey Glover is a Lake County native and in 2012 he was able to fulfill his childhood dream of opening his own chiropractic practice in the community he calls home. Dr. Glover wanted to be a chiropractor at the age of 9; he watched his mother and grandmother go to their chiropractic and medical doctor appointments and he noticed that the chiropractor seemed more personable and genuinely cared about them. As a young boy, Dr. Glover suffered with chronic headaches and asthma, his mom, being a chiropractic patient herself as a child, took him to the chiropractor for treatment and within a few weeks Dr. Glover’s headaches and asthma significantly improved.
The journey to achieving his childhood goal began in 1999 when Dr. Glover graduated from Leesburg High School. His first step to completing his dream was his AA at Lake-Sumter Community College and then transferring to the University of Central Florida to receive his Bachelor’s in Physical Science and Psychology and his minor in Fitness Training. During this process, Dr. Glover took an active interest in health, diet and nutrition and decided to make lifestyle changes of his own and lost 180 pounds.
Dr. Glover graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2007. During his chiropractic training, Dr. Glover discovered he had scoliosis and took interest in scoliosis correction. He trained with the leading scoliosis correction physician in the country (Dr. Dennis Woggon) where he learned scoliosis correction techniques with chiropractic care and rehabilitation therapy.
Dr. Glover considers exercise to be a vital part of each patient’s treatment to becoming pain-free; he continued this passion with post-graduate studies at Harvard Medical School where he received certification to prescribe exercises to patients; this course equips him with the knowledge to prescribe exercise in a manner similar to prescribing medication. He also completed post-graduate studies at The Spine Research Institute of San Diego with focuses in whiplash traumatology and mild traumatic brain injuries; an auto accident is very traumatic to the body and having the education to diagnosis and treat these injuries with chiropractic care sets Dr. Glover apart from other physicians in the area.
In April 2011, Dr. Glover completed a post graduate degree in the field of chiropractic sports medicine at Palmer College of Chiropractic; he is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician** (C.C.S.P.). This degree was taught by Dr. William Moreau; he is the Director of Sports Medicine Clinics for the United States Olympic Committee where he leads the multiple disciplinary sports medicine teams at all three Olympic Training Centers.
In 2009, Dr. Glover became an associate physician in The Villages. While in The Villages, Dr. Glover was able to successfully treat thousands of patients with headaches, degenerative disc disease, neuropathy and soft tissue injuries. He has also helped numerous athletes including golfers, soccer players, baseball players, weight lifters and an Olympian bobsledder.
When Dr. Glover isn’t helping patients in the office, you can find him out helping the community. He is an active board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Lake and Sumter Counties and has been for the last three years. He is also a member of the Leesburg Area Chamber of Commerce, Rotary International, National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and the Florida Chiropractic Association (FCA). Dr. Glover enjoys cheering for Florida football (Florida Gators & Miami Dolphins), spending time with his parents and extended family, keeping himself healthy in the gym, playing the guitar and hanging out at home with his dog Tebow.
**Disclaimer: “The C.C.S.P. (Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician) designation certificate is not currently recognized by the Florida Board of Chiropractic Medicine, it is however recognized nationally and internationally by: The U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC), the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the American Chiropractic Association (ACA), The ACA Sports Council (ACASC), The International Federation of Sports Chiropractic (FICS) and ProSport Chiropractic.”
